GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The transporter potato harvester is designed for digging up potato tubers and placing them on the surface in a swath. This potato harvester is designed to work one row with a working width of 60 cm and a depth of up to 25 cm. Mounted on low power tractors with single-point attachment and belt-driven PTO. The equipment quickly digs up the tubers, scrapes off the soil and gently places them on the ground.
Features: The distance between potato rows of 600-700 mm increases the yield because the plants do not interfere with each other's development. It is recommended to use a shifting plate, which shifts the harvester 100-200 mm to the left of the central axis. This way the tractor wheels move between the rows, and the potato harvester blade moves along the bed.
Principle of operation of the potato harvester:
- The cutting knife cuts into the ground to a depth of 20-28 cm;
- The soil layer falls onto the conveyor belt;
- The conveyor belt operates using vibration based on eccentrics;
- The soil layer crumbles, and the potatoes remain on the belt.
